- If you intend to use NED on a regular basis, please
- register and show your support for the author.
- Commercial, business or governmental use by non-
- registered users is prohibited. The following outlines
- what you get when you register, as well as our general
- software support policy.

- i NED User's Guide
-
- This is a 250 page 3-ring bound document, fully indexed
- and cross-referenced. The manual also contains a complete
- function reference for all of NED's sub-systems as well a
- "hand's on" tutorial. It is essentially the same document
- that is supplied with the shareware release.

- ii NED software diskette
-
- The latest version of NED. Additional utilities are also
- provided on this diskette including a file searching
- utility (WIS) and an enhanced DOS shell (NOS). These two
- utilities are fully documented in the User's Guide.
- Further information will be provided on-disk.

- Please note that the registered and shareware versions of
- the software are identical except for the following:

- 1. The registered version does not contain a
- registration reminder (nag) screen.

- 2. The inclusion of WIS.EXE and NOS.EXE with the
- registered version.

- iii Support
-
- Unlimited mail support is provided to all registered
- users for a period of one year from receipt of
- registration. Further support after this period may be
- negotiated depending on your requirements, see below.
- Since we are based in Australia you should use air mail
- for all your correspondence. All replies will be via air
- mail.

- For those users subscribing to CompuServe, support can
- also be provided via E-mail for the same period.
- CompuServe can also be accessed from MIC and the
- Internet.

- If, as a registered user, you discover what you think is
- a significant logic error in the software that prevents
- it's operation, send us a detailed description of the
- possible problem so we can try to reproduce it. We will
- attempt to correct or by-pass any actual, reproducible
- error that prevents a program function from operating
- properly, by providing you corrective or work-around
- instructions, a corrected copy, or manual substitute
- pages or addenda within a reasonable time. This does not
- cover software altered without authorization, or require
- us to customize our programs, develop new features, or
- modify your copy for different hardware or operating
- systems software. The registration will be refunded to
- users who are unable to use the software on their
- particular hardware or to users who are for some reason
- unhappy with the operation of the software. Refunds will
- only be made if the user contacts us within 3 months from
- the date of purchase.

- We will continue to support registered users after the
- one year period with respect to the above paragraph at no
- additional cost.

- iv Upgrades
-
- From time to time, upgrades may become available. These
- may consist of manual inserts or replacements and or
- diskettes. Registered users will be notified by mail of
- the availability of these upgrades with their cost (if
- any) and any other information that may be relevant.
